What Is This?

Hey friends. Welcome to the inaugural Midwest Emoposting Newsletter. This is meant to be a space set apart from the group that will facilitate deeper discussions, longform looks at bands, albums, songs, etc. and help foster the kind of community we would all be proud to be a part of.

C O N T E N T

The kinds of content you can expect in this newsletter will (real emo) consist(s) of:

• Album reviews

• Wave/Band/Album/Song retrospectives

• Playlists

• Interviews

• Discussion questions

• Etc.

• New music

• Old music

• Music

I will also be gladly accepting submissions from anyone interested in contributing. This newsletter will probably focus more on 2nd wave than anything else, but, just like the group, I will certainly entertain any and all content as long as it’s tangentially related to the genre.

Schedule

I’d like this to ramp up to eventually be something you see about twice a week, but it may start out as an every-other-week kind of thing.

Introducing a Newsletter Exclusive Playlist: CONSISTS OF…

CONSISTS OF… is a newsletter-exclusive playlist that will share favorite “hits,” obscure gems and everything in-between.

The goal is to always hit eight songs with each playlist so that it’s accessible and get-throughable.

It will also eventually highlight local and up-and-coming bands from the MWE family.
