Why a Newsletter…About Emo?

Forever stuck in the late ’90s and desperate to argue on the internet about which Promise Ring record is the best, I started the Facebook group/community Midwest Emoposting in 2018.

Fast-forward two years later and the group is thriving with nearly 14,000 members and 1,000s of monthly interactions. This is a chance to refocus the community and find space for more meaningful and deep interaction even in the inherent silliness of a genre that has grown to mean something to so many of us.
